T12 (S0012)

s0012This is a tiny profile from the Belgian manufacturer ADB. It's the model T12, introduced in 1961.

This profile is part of the architectural range from ADB, mostly for use in museum and shop windows.

It's equipped with a B15d lamp holder, for a 100W lamp.

The back is hiding a two parts reflector: a spherical reflector on the back, and a elliptical reflector on the front.

The optic is really simple: there is only one lens at the front (40mm convex), with a beam angle of 25°, the beam uniformity is done by the reflectors assembly.

There is also four shutters to shape the beam of light.

This lantern was also in Strand's catalogue. It looks like ADB and Strand were collaborating at the time (in the 60's). That's also the case for the Patt.23  (S0001 in this collection).

We can spot this lights in a picture of a Pink Floyd concert at The Cheetah Club.
